Alerts

Stay informed without the complexity. Alert subscriptions allow you to easily choose which hosts or groups you want to hear from and how you want to be notified.

In a standard Zabbix environment, configuring alerts often requires administrative permissions and complex logic. IntelliTrend Prisma simplifies this by letting you subscribe to the data you care about most.

Subscribe to a host or group

To begin receiving notifications for specific host or host groups:

1. Navigate to Alerts > Hosts or Alerts > Host Groups.
2. Find the host or host group you want to monitor in the list.
3. Click the settings (gear) icon for that entry.

Define your notification rules

In the Subscribe to alerts window, you can create one or more operations. An operation tells Prisma which severities should trigger which media types.

1. Enable alerts: Ensure the Alerts enabled toggle is switched on.
2. Select severities: Choose the alert levels you want to receive (e.g., Average, High, Disaster).
3. Select media types: Choose how you want to be notified (e.g., Email, Telegram, IntelliTrend Mobile).
4. Add more operations (optional): Click + Add operation to create different rules. For example, you might want Warning alerts sent only to Email, but Disaster alerts sent to both Email and IntelliTrend Mobile.
5. Click Subscribe (or Update subscription if you are editing an existing one).

Managing your subscriptions

Prisma makes it easy to see exactly what you are currently subscribed to.

Filtering the list

On the Hosts or Host groups pages, use the filter chips at the top of the list:

• Select Only subscribed to hide everything except your active alerts.
• Once filtered, a second chip allows you to further narrow the list by specific severities.

Pausing and unsubscribing

If you need to stop notifications, you have two choices within the subscription window:

• Pause: Toggle Alerts enabled to off and click Update subscription. This stops the alerts in Zabbix but keeps your settings saved for later.
• Unsubscribe: While a subscription is paused, click the Unsubscribe button. This completely removes the trigger action from Zabbix.

Pause all Prisma notifications

If you need to silence all Prisma notifications at once:

1. Locate the Pause icon at the top of the Hosts or Host Groups list page.
2. Use the modal to pause or unpause all of your Prisma-created subscriptions.
